April was a whirlwind for the Singapore AI Safety Hub (SASH) as the ICLR conference is happening and many researchers from all over the world have come to visit Singapore!
🧑⚖️ Governing AI briefing
We held a Governing AI briefing specially for Singapore government officials featuring the following speakers:
- Alan Chan from the Centre for the Governance of AI (GovAI)
- Fazl Barez from Oxford University
- Jessica Foo from GovTech Singapore

🔬 Technical Workshop — Misalignment & Control
30+ leading researchers examined fresh evidence of AI deception, strategic behaviour and alignment failures.
🤝 AI Safety Networking Social
We wrapped up the week with 130 + attendees from around the globe—researchers, builders and policymakers all working on safer AI.
